Some feel-good for Thursday! Amazing guy!

I often cruise around other blogs and it’s amazing how good posts there are out there, so I thought I would share some recommendations for this Wednesday.
This is a truly awesome collection of beautiful photos of abandoned places around the globe. Click on any of the images to go to the full album.
Rainy Tuesday; perfect weather for hard work, with some soft working music in the background. Best wishes for this November Tuesday.
During the time of this blog I’ve now and then written reviews about best photo apps for iPhone / iPad. Some of the apps have been about the editing part, while others have been filter apps and so on. There haven’t been one app that has it all.
Now we’re close to that; the new version of Photo Toaster brings together almost all of my apps into one.
The apps that I’ve used most frequent has been Photoshop Express, for reducing noise, and handling levels like exposure, temp, tint, saturation and so on. 645 Pro for B/W. Snapseed and Photo Editor for harder effects and so on. All these features are now available in one single app – Photo Toaster.
Even though I think that Photoshop Express still is better at reducing the noise, Photo Toaster is “good enough”, and I guess I can say that about all those features. The benefit of keeping all of those features into one app is higher than the workflow of using several apps.
And on the topic of workflow. I really like that shortcut to the “recent edits”. Great small feature which saves a lot of time.
The app is currently priced at $2.99 and I think that it may be your best $2.99 investment at the moment.
Since my on/off button is broken which leaves my out of an easy way to take screen dumps, I’ve just attached the app’s own preview.
Best wishes for Saturday
Just finished a web-test and I guess the outcome was as boring as it could get… equally brained between left and right.
So what are you?
A good comparison between the iPhone 5S and the Nexus 5. There is a part in the beginning that’s about the speed of the processor, but after that it’s a good comparison between the cameras.

…about the greatness of our “home”, the earth.
The video starts at 0:45
This clip is a great mix of so many skills! Awesome bike stunts by the athlete Danny MacAskill (artist name I suppose 🙂 ), great artistry in bringing a toy world to the real world, great footage and to wrap it up… great music, “Houston” with Runaway.
For those interested in Photography, don’t miss out on the behind the scenes clip (link at the end of the video)
Enjoy!
What an amazingly great track by Swedish Tove Lo! Don’t miss out!
I’m really intrigued by these new concepts about flying cars. When I was young it was a magic dream to be able to use one of those, and as it seems, it may come true sooner rather than later. These two concepts seems “easy”, and in my mind a better way than the ‘Aeromobil‘.

This great song and music-video is filmed with a Nikon D7100 and a Nikon D800.
Great footage with pretty standard DSLR:s, or what do you think? To get a “behind the scenes” footage, click here
This is a story I found on the internet. In my mind the moral of the story is great for all of those who put their mind into something, no matter what other people think about it.
Have a great weekend!
Nadja was the most talented student at art school . Through hard work, dedication, imagination and great artistic talent, she had made it through the hard training, and now she was soon finished .
– Now you have only one lesson left, her teacher told her one day. Your task is to paint a picture, which will be your most outstanding work to date.
Nadja worked day and night, and in the end the painting was finished . This was indeed her best work!
– The teacher praised her. Very good! Now take the board to the square and hang it where everyone can see it. Attach a sign to the painting that tells that you would be very grateful if anyone who finds an error in the board would like to mark it with a cross.
Nadja did exactly what the teacher said , and then waited impatiently for a few days. Then she hurried to the square, tense with anticipation. Would she pass the test? Should the painting be free of marks? But the heart was very heavy in the chest when she watched her painting. Even from a distance , she could see that the painting was way over scribbled with a cross. Now she would certainly be failed.
Distressed , she returned to school, and showed the painting to her teacher. He did not say much, but asked Nadja make a new one – if possible, even better than the last!
This time Nadja worked even harder. She wanted so badly to succeed! The teacher also praised the new painting and explained that it would also be exhibited on the square.
But this time , the message next to it would be a little different.
Nadja listened to the instructions and then hurried to the square. There, she hung up the painting along with a new sign. Also this sign urging people to mark out any errors. But now the spectators had the chance to correct the errors, using brushes and paint that stood next to it.
And what a surprise – when Nadja returned a few days later she didn’t find a single fault. In complete joy and happiness, she returned to school and showed up the painting for her teacher.
– You have now learned the last lesson you need, the teacher said with a smile. And the lesson is this : There will always be people who will judge your work. The first painting was filled with crosses, because many people wants to be part of things and criticize when they get the chance – even if they have no knowledge of the subject. The second painting was free of the corrections, as the assessors’ own knowledge and skill was at stake.
So when you’ve put your mind to something, used all your talent and your heart into a project, be your own judge. YOU give the work its value – and the world’s viewers can never take that away from you.
And do not forget that this is also true when you have to judge someone else’s life’s work.

Stockholms Museum of Photography – Fotografiska – currently holds an exhibition with Art Wolfe. This exhibition is about animals hiding in nature, and I must say that in some of the photos I haven’t even found them yet!
