One of Swedens most well kept secrets – Sabina Ddumba. Singing behind artists (like Katy Perry), she may not be well known, but take a moment to listen to her here!
Tonight the show “Så Mycket Bättre” (So Much Better) aired the last episode for the season. The artist in focus was Ted Gärdestad, tonight represented by his brother and the man who wrote all his lyrics, Kenneth Gärdestad.
If there was a hall of fame for Swedish musicians, Ted would surely be there.
This is a english version of “Fånga Min Ängel”.
Loney Dear is a new experience for me. When I woke up this morning I hadn’t even heard his name. In a Swedish morning show he was presented with an acoustic song, from the presentation of the polar prize, and I got hooked straight away. I hope you will too.
Sara Isaksson has one of Sweden’s most beautiful voices. In this clip she plays Anders Widmark:s (piano) song “To Open Up My Heart”. A great song that may fit well to tomorrow’s Valentines. Modest, honest, upright and touches our hearts, and I guess those words all describe what a healthy relationship is all about.
In my “Best Albums Of All Times” Sara Isakssons album Red Eden was one of my choices. You’ll find that link here
What’s great during the holidays is that there is time to dig deep in things that I normally don’t have time to. Yesterday, when I heard Tove Lo’s amazing duet on the new Coldplay album (for the xxx:th time), I had to find out more about her career, and her earlier material. Off course many of us have heard “Talking Body”, but I didn’t realize that she was behind so many other great tracks, and that her carrier had reached so far.
It’s really amazing to follow all the new Swedish female producers, songwriters and artists going out in the world, fearlessly and aiming for the absolute top!
So here’s a quick list to get you started:
Talking Body (from the album Queen Of Clouds):

Fun, duet on Coldplay’s new album: https://open.spotify.com/track/7fJFDK6XjYsXcMKNHESbot
The new album by Coldplay is truly great, and there are many good tracks to choose from, but I think this is one of the best.
Great new track by Måns Zelmerlöw – Should’ve Gone Home!
Can you guess the band names hidden behind these images? The answers will be posted tomorrow.
To get you started, the first one is “Guns n’ Roses”…
Earlier today I found this test on internet where you can try out your own rhythm. The test is really easy, and doesn’t take long time. What’s your score?
