Amazing Story and Beautiful Footage – How Wolves Changes Rivers
Except for the beautiful footage; what an amazing story!
Dominican Republic – Punta Espada
I’ve spent the last week in Dominican Republic for work, but also got time for some joyous moment in that incredible environment.
I still have some problems in getting good Lightroom-quality for smaller pics, so click on the image for better result.

Can You Spot the Hidden Animals in These Pictures?
Stockholms Museum of Photography – Fotografiska – currently holds an exhibition with Art Wolfe. This exhibition is about animals hiding in nature, and I must say that in some of the photos I haven’t even found them yet!

Olloclip Photo part 2
I previously had a post about my purchase of the Olloclip Macro lens for iPhone. I really start
to appreciate the small format, but at the same time I also appreciate it’s form which makes it easier to find in the pocket (compared to previous lenses).
If you are interested in finding more photos from Olloclip, you can find them in my instagram feed at http://instagram.com/pedrohansson

Desiderata
Earlier today I posted the following text on mine, and my two co-writers new Swedish Blog http://KKAAPP.wordpress.com. After I’ve posted it I started to read about the history behind the text a little bit more, and found this English version.
Great story to keep in mind for the weekend.
Happy weekend!

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its shams, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy
Cropping
One of the things I enjoy most with Photo is that an area might look awful if we just look at it as a whole, but when we start to look more closely we’ll find those small details that can be absolutely amazing. With cropping, it’s exactly the same.
This is the same photography as I posted a few days back “Flowers against wall”, but this is the cropped version of the flowers at the bottom. I actually think that this image works better because I had the focus on that specific area at the time and I think the image in itself works better with those flowers trying to hang on with the snows heavier weight on them.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

I hope you have a great day!
Polar bears and dogs – Svalbard
I didn’t thought that polar bears (as I’ve learned to be one of the toughest animals out there) could be this gentle and playful.
Really great short video!
Winter is arriving
For the last few days I’ve been staying at home with a terrible cold (second in a month time – guess I’ll better start putting clothes on when I’m going out). Here in Sweden the winter is slowly arriving and in the northern part it’s already there.
On the “other side” of winter you have; spring.
This photo was taken during a short vacation in Spain with some friends. We had played golf in the morning and having lunch before our next round in the afternoon. Suddenly a bird landed on our table and starting eating bread, and since the table was sharp as a mirror I thought it could be a nice photo if I could grab the bird when it flew away.
So I put my camera on “speed-shooting”, set my focus on the table and waited just a few seconds. …And I got him!

What a sight!!
