Soft start of the week. A great track from Laleh’s previous album “Sjung”.
As mentioned in yesterday’s post I visited Dominican Republic last week. During the trip we played four courses, Casa de Campo (Teeth of the Dog), Punta Espada Cap Cana and Corales; and they are all truly amazing! This short “photo guide” is from Corales, which is an amazing course! The finish, the layout and the atmosphere are great, and the views are truly spectacular. If it were all about finish, this IS the best course I’ve ever played.
The course is quite young compared to others, but I guess with names like Oscar De La Renta and Julio Iglesias as partners, and designed by Tom Fazio the possibilities for great economy and resources are all there. If you have the chance to play this course, don’t miss it!

Since we tried to maximize our days we always started early. Rise and shine between four and five (this day at five), pick up breakfast in the lobby and then going straight to the club. This day started a little different when we met two other cars in OUR lane on the Highway. It all went well, but I guess we all were quite awake after that.
When entering the golf course we were greeted by an amazing sunrise.
On hole 1 and 2 it were all about focus to try to get the game going. I didn’t play good golf during the day, but the views almost me forget about it completely. This is a photo from hole 3, with the green in the background.

To summarize the day. One of the best courses I’ve ever played.
I’ve spent the last week in Dominican Republic for work, but also got time for some joyous moment in that incredible environment.
I still have some problems in getting good Lightroom-quality for smaller pics, so click on the image for better result.
Sorry for the poor update during the last week. I’ve been abroad on a trip with internet access 30 minutes per day.

During the time of this blog I’ve now and then written reviews about best photo apps for iPhone / iPad. Some of the apps have been about the editing part, while others have been filter apps and so on. There haven’t been one app that has it all.
Now we’re close to that; the new version of Photo Toaster brings together almost all of my apps into one.
The apps that I’ve used most frequent has been Photoshop Express, for reducing noise, and handling levels like exposure, temp, tint, saturation and so on. 645 Pro for B/W. Snapseed and Photo Editor for harder effects and so on. All these features are now available in one single app – Photo Toaster.
Even though I think that Photoshop Express still is better at reducing the noise, Photo Toaster is “good enough”, and I guess I can say that about all those features. The benefit of keeping all of those features into one app is higher than the workflow of using several apps.
And on the topic of workflow. I really like that shortcut to the “recent edits”. Great small feature which saves a lot of time.
The app is currently priced at $2.99 and I think that it may be your best $2.99 investment at the moment.
Since my on/off button is broken which leaves my out of an easy way to take screen dumps, I’ve just attached the app’s own preview.

A good comparison between the iPhone 5S and the Nexus 5. There is a part in the beginning that’s about the speed of the processor, but after that it’s a good comparison between the cameras.

I’m really intrigued by these new concepts about flying cars. When I was young it was a magic dream to be able to use one of those, and as it seems, it may come true sooner rather than later. These two concepts seems “easy”, and in my mind a better way than the ‘Aeromobil‘.
