About Life

“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”

– Alfred D. Souza

First Signs Of Autumn

First Signs Of Autumn

Ever since I started this blog I’ve been portraying autumn. In my opinion the best season of all if you’re into Photography. In Sweden it’s one of the warmest start of September, ever.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” – Harriet Tubman

I hope you have a good start of the week.

The Story Of Jonathan

This is a story (as Heroin Diaries by Sixx A.M) that’s 16 minutes and 36 seconds long. It’s a story of a kid, that grew up, and all through life just had one wish, to be loved by his closest.

I guess this story isn’t that strange, and uncommon. Still it is a thoughtful story by W.A.S.P. For all music fans; even if you know the history of Blackie Lawless, he and Nikki Sixx used to play in the same band, “London”. As one of my friends said; this may be the inspiration for Nikki Sixx to share his inner thoughts in Heroin Diaries?

Don’t miss out on this piece of music history. Thank you J for the tip!

Beautiful creation – The new Porsche 918 Spyder

What a beautiful car this is, and what a great future all car fanatics still can dream for. This is the new Porsche Spider Hybrid which you can travel around 20 km purely on electricity but whenever you need more power the petrol engine kicks in. All together the system power is around 900 horsepower! Not bad!

So You Think You Can Ride? Italian Motorbike Display by Italian Police Riders

I almost can’t believe that this is possible to stage. Especially the sequence where they are driving as a cross. Respect.

More connected – but more alone?

This video really made me think about the modern way of spending time with each other. The topic is far from new, but I think this short movie really put its finger on today’s society, and I’m the first to agree that I’m absolutely one of those who should think more about this.

So, why are we always “on our way”, instead of grasping the moment we’re in?

Country Road – Autumn – iPhone Photo

iPhone Photography – Autumn

Yesterday I were in Norrtälje, together with some friends. On our way there, we walked along this road, and this view, with the trees that’s preparing themselves for Winter, the road and the small typical Swedish houses was amazing. Really looking forward to best time of the year when it comes to photography, the autumn.

On top of the photo I’ve added some filters, and then added the “painting like” effect.

Autumn Music – John Mayer, live in Nokia Theatre – Free Fallin’

Here in Stockholm it has been an amazing August day. Blue skies, people everywhere and it almost feels like the summer is still here.

What I enjoy with Sweden, and Swedes is that we almost never miss out on an opportunity to have a great day / evening when the sun is shining.

Back at home I started – as always – to listen to some music, and this awesome track started playing in my speakers. What a great autumn song!

Best wishes for a great “lill-lördag” tomorrow

The Listener – Short inspirational story

This is a short Swedish Story I found on the internet. A story with a single and easy, but not less important punchline.

The listener

A little girl – with very demanding parents – had problem in school. The more the parents nagged, and tried to attract her attention with all imaginable kinds of rewards for her to do well, the more distanced she became from school. She was also “all over” in class and  disturbed all her class mates.

But then one day, one month into the semester, she came home from school with a smile on her face. The next morning she went up early and did her homework and went straight to school, which became routine thereafter.

In the parents meeting, held during the semester, the parents knew that their daughter had made good progress, and that she was very talented. Now that she was motivated, everything went easy on her.

The principal explained that it was largely due to a special teacher who had started at the school which their daughter took particular liking to. The parents asked the daughter to show them to that amazing teacher to thank him. When they met him, they discovered to their surprise that he was dumb.

– How can this man be a teacher, exclaimed the father, he can not speak!

– But he can listen, replied the daughter.
